"Un Cuore, Un Mondo" is a private, independent, non-profit association. Our mission is to help and support children born with an "unstable heart", to offer them the opportunity and the hope of a fulfilling and dignified life. To this end, we promote projects and ventures in Italy and abroad to give help and healthcare assistance to adolescents without distinction of race, language or culture. Over the past 17 years, we have been involved in three important areas:
With the cooperation of more than thirty volunteers, we have welcomed and given hospitality to the families of sick children and given assistance to patients. During their hospital stay, we have provided entertainment, games and recreational and cultural activities with lots of smiles and hugs along the way to make the stay as calm and pleasant as possible.
We have received contributions towards the purchase of toys and furnishings for the children's stay, health equipment for surgery departments and contributions towards the completion of a brand-new operating theatre. Our volunteers have been active in obtaining entry visas for families coming from non-EU countries, organising the transfer of patients by ambulance from airports to the hospital and providing temporary homes.
Thanks to the contributions provided, many italian and foreign doctors have been able to undertake training and specialisation courses at universities and hospitals in italy and abroad.
